The data were collected August 28 and 29, 2011 after landfall of Hurricane Irene in Dare and Carteret counties in North Carolina. The data includes topographic data in an LAS 1.2 format file classified as unclassified (1), ground (2), and water (9) in accordance with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) classification standards. This data set also includes lidar intensity values and encoded RGB image values. The files contained lidar elevation, intensity, and RGB image values. The data were in UTM Zone 18N projection. OCM performed the following processing for data storage and Digital Coast provisioning purposes: 1. The data were converted from UTM Zone 18N coordinates to geographic coordinates. 2. The data were filtered to remove outliers. 3. The LAS data were sorted by time and the headers were updated. 4.
