Information on physical characteristics of the vessels, motivation of fishermen, and other topics was also collected. Follow-up interviews were conducted in September 2004 and March-April 2005 to collect data missed during the first interviews. M. Pan and A. Griesemer conducted the project. Measurement error was minimal. Completeness Report Data was completed with no omissions and selection criteria (approached all active vessels). After the data were collected through in-person interview, data were entered into the data entry file. Then the entered data were cleaned with logic checking, skipping patterns, and outliers.
