Part of The Bering Sea Project, FEAST is a high resolution (~10km2) spatial model that uses a Regional Ocean Modeling System for the Bering Sea (ROMS Bering-10K), with two way feedback to a Nutrient-Phytoplankton-Zooplankton Model and two way feedback to a multispecies bioenergetics fish model. The hindcast goes from week 2 of 1971 to week 52 of 2009, and provides deterministic estimates for the biophysics, lower trophic levels and fish. Historical fisheries removals were included in the hindcast simulation but are not part of the output files due to confidentiality restrictions. Catch data is archived at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center.
