While considerable effort has been made to implement all model components in a thorough, correct, and accurate manner, various sources of uncertainty and error remain. PacIOOS provides timely, reliable, and accurate ocean information to support a safe, clean, productive ocean and resilient coastal zone in the U.S. Pacific Islands region. The Pacific Islands Ocean Observing System (PacIOOS) is funded through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a Regional Association within the U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS). PacIOOS is coordinated by the University of Hawaii School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST). This forecast has been developed with support from the "Enhancing Climate Information and Knowledge Services for resilience in 5 island countries of the Pacific Ocean", referred to as UNEP CIS-Pac5, a USD 49.9 million program, led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). CIS-Pac5 seeks to establish integrated climate and ocean information systems and multi-hazard early warning systems in Cook Islands, Niue, Palau, Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI), and Tuvalu.
