Sample were collected when aerators were on and off. 2) Methane, sulfate, and chloride concentrations measured from bottom waters of Rock Creek collected with OsmoSamplers. Salinity was then calculated from chloride measurements. OsmoSamplers use osmosis to slowly collect water samples over time which are stored in copper tubing and analyzed back at the laboratory. 3) Methane concentrations and stable carbon isotope ratios were measured in air above water in Rock Creek, a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay when the aerators were on and off. This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
