Time to transmission of disease in days and gross symptoms of disease transmission were recorded during the observation period and are included in this dataset. Images of the corals used to aid in assessment are not included in this data package. These data were collected to conduct a statistically-robust experiment to determine whether reef sediments can transmit Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD) from diseased to healthy corals, without direct coral-to-coral contact. This project is especially relevant given the current effort to better understand SCTLD transmission vectors and slow or stop its spread.
