Temperature, conductivity/salinity, depth, dissolved oxygen, and fluorometry data were collected onboard the Seward Johnson, Cruise 1, Leg 3. The final product is a series of NetCDF files containing every CTD cast that has been processed and quality checked. CTD data was collected to provide physical oceanographic information about the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. In some cases, this data was used in real-time to guide water samplers to appropriate sampling depths during the sampling activities associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
