The final product is a netCDF file (or series of netCDF files) containing every CTD cast that has been processed and quality checked. Note this is provisional data. CTD data collected provides several crucial functions; in addition to giving background physical oceanographic about the Gulf of Mexico, supplementary instrumentation was used to highlight the existence of oil at depth, quantify the amount of oxygen, and measure turbidity or pH on several cruises.
