NOAA NMFS SEFSC Bottom Longline Survey Stations (2001-2018)

    • Description of Source: The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC), Mississippi Laboratories (MSLABS), Resource Survey Division conducts fishery-independent resource surveys throughout the southeast region of the United States. The primary goal of these surveys is to monitor the abundance, distribution, and health of living marine resources and their habitats. The NMFS SEFSC Bottom Longline surveys typically covers the continental shelf from Brownsville, TX to the Dry Tortugas, FL in depths ranging from 9 to 360 meters. The survey collects a variety of biological and environmental information. Data are available upon request.

Processing Steps
  • 2015-04-22T00:00:00 - NOAA created the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) by merging NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), and National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), including the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), per the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2015, Public Law 113-235. NCEI launched publicly on April 22, 2015.
