Sampling Effort from NOAA NMFS SEFSC Bottom Longline Surveys (2001-2018)
browse graphic Fisheries-independent bottom longline data from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC) Bottom Longline Surveys from 2001 to 2018 are used to map the distribution of survey effort. The number of bottom longline sets (effort) is summarized by 15 minute longitude by latitude blocks in which bottom longline sets were taken. The final summary is represented as a GIS polygon layer. The layer attributes include the central longitude (LON_GRIDC) and latitude (LAT_GRIDC), a polygon identifier (GRIDID) and the number of sets (N) for each 15 minute longitude by latitude block.
