Non-Dive Activities for Islands in the Stream 2002 - Pharmaceutical Discovery, Vision, and Bioluminescence - Office of Ocean Exploration

The Expeditions Information System (EIS) contains information recorded by the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration's data manager during the 2002 "Islands in the Stream - Pharmaceutical Discovery, Vision, and Bioluminescence" expedition, August 15 - 31, 2002. Information contained in the EIS included a record of all non-dive activities carried out during the expedition. The data presented here are the tables from the original EIS which is a FileMaker Pro database.

Purpose The EIS captures all relevant information about activities and data collected, and provides a comprehensive record of the expedition. This information from the EIS was compiled in Microsoft Excel to support a demonstration of the prototype NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration Digital Atlas. It was formatted for incorporation into a Geographic Information System database.
