Archive of Geosample Data and Information from the Oregon State University (OSU) College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) Marine and Geology Repository (MGR)
browse graphic The Oregon State University Marine and Geology Repository (OSU-MGR) is a partner in the Index to Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples (IMLGS) database, contributing information to the IMLGS to help researchers discover geological samples curated in their facility. The partner repository sends related data, documents, and imagery to NCEI for long-term archive, but the originating institution is the definitive source of information related to their sample collection. The OSU-MGR is located in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS). It is a National Science Foundation (NSF) supported curation facility for marine rock and sediment samples. The facility contains over 10,900 square feet of refrigerated space and a 550 square foot walk in freezer of -20 degrees F cold storage and is well equipped for preservation and distribution of marine geological samples for scientific research and education.
