| RB1601 was one of a series of cruises for the U.S. Extended Continental Shelf (ECS)
Project. the cruise left Pearl Harbor, HI and surveyed the Pacific Ocean for areas
that may potentially qualify for an extended continental shelf under Article 76 of
the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). The data collected was
multibeam bathymetry data, backscatter, as well as a sub-bottom profile. |
