Multibeam Bathymetry
Multibeam bathymetry datasets generated by the Chesapeake Bay Office are used to monitor
oyster restoration, update nautical charts, and study relationships between physical
habitat and the species that interacts with it.

Lineage Statement | Multibeam bathymetry datasets originate from the raw data collected with Hypack hydrographic data acquisition software and processed with CARIS HIPS software. The CARIS platform creates surfaces and is used to export the ascii point files. |
