Purpose The primary objectives for these cruises are to test various ship equipment and refine mapping sensors operations and data processing protocols. However, it was realized that as we test and refine mapping ops protocols, there is an opportunity to cover the areas that may be useful for later ROV testing, are critical to US ECS claim, and are priority areas for NOAA and other research / academic organizations.
