ROV exploration of the Northeast U.S. Deepwater Canyons complementing and continuing the work of the 2012 ACUMEN expedition. The two legs of EX1304 will perform systematic exploration, investigating deep water areas in and along the northeast canyons off the U.S. East Coast.

      Purpose EX1304 will employ the new 6,000 meter ROV and the camera sled Seirios to explore some targeted areas in the Northeast U.S. Canyons over two legs: July 8-25 and July 31-August 17. 24-hour operations, including multibeam mapping, ROV operations, and CTD/rosette deployment will be conducted.
