The Metadata Management team of the NOS Information Management Office (NOS IMO) is responsible for the publication of geospatial metadata published by NOS Program Offices to its NOS Data Explorer Geoportal and the federal clearinghouse, Data.gov geoportal. The NOS Metadata Management team reviews for metadata standards and conventions set down by guidance. NOS Program Office metadata managers author the content of the geospatial metadata.
