description:   The SeaBat 9001 is a 455 kHz Multibeam Echosounder System that measures the relative water depth across a wide swath perpendicular to a vessel's track. The 9001 system uses 60 individual sonar beams, each measuring 1.5 degrees by 1.5 degrees, to create a 90 degree swath width. The SeaBat 9001 system is designed to track the seafloor at a maximum distance of 100 meters. For precision results, RESON recommends a maximum measured center range of 50 meters. The SeaBat 9001, developed in the early 1990's, was produced until the mid-2000's.
